I am not a fan of the spinner. It is cumbersome to pass around the table, takes an awkward amount of time to spin and can sometimes have spots that spin more often than others due to warping and such.

I have made a chart that has 1-8 written on it, with each of the results from the spinner next to it. I then give each player a d8 and the games speed is increased dramatically.

If I get a chance I will make a nice looking chart and post it online if anyone is interested.
